Demolition work has started on the large, unfinished two-storey timber building that was on the site when we acquired it. It was painful to have to see the building coming down, but unfortunately it had been erected without securing building regulations approval and we had been advised that it would cost more to put it right than to build a new one. The building was also in poor condition, having been exposed to the elements for several years.
The replacement building has already received planning permission and will include a large indoor space for education purposes and for refreshments. We currently need around £100,000 to complete the building before we open next year. We are therefore looking for donations, sponsorship, materials or help with the construction. If you can help in any way, email email@example.com or telephone 01608 646279.
