Halloween fun at Fairytale Farm

Prime Minister David Cameron officially opens Fairytale Farm
Fairytale Farm was opened by the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon David Cameron MP, on 21 June 2013.
Park owners, husband and wife Nick and Nicola Laister, who funded the £1m attraction almost entirely themselves with the help of a group of volunteers, personally welcomed Mr Cameron to the site before introducing him to the people who had helped them realise the vision.
Mr Cameron was then given a tour of the site, where he met Olivia (Nick and Nicola Laister's 15-year-old daughter who suffers from cerebral palsy), who was the inspiration behind the attraction. Olivia was accompanied by her classmates from Frank Wise Special School in Banbury, who tried out the adventure play equipment, including a specially built wheelchair swing.
Mr Cameron described Fairytale Farm as "inspirational" and said:
"This project brings together three really important things. Firstly, we need more businesses in our country. We need more small businesses and we need more start-ups. It is great to be somewhere where you can hear about banks lending money and entrepreneurs starting a new business. Businesses really matter and it is great to be here at the start of a new small business in West Oxfordshire. Secondly, tourism also really matters and we want to do more to attract tourists to West Oxfordshire. There are going to be hundreds of millions of tourists coming from China and India in the future and we want to capture some of that value. Schemes like this will do exactly that.
"But most importantly, as the parent of a disabled child, I know how incredibly meaningful and important it is to have somewhere you can take all your children and particularly somewhere you can learn about wildlife, the countryside and animals, and have the opportunity to hold them and to get to know them. It means an enormous amount to parents of disabled children.
"Those things I think really come together in this great scheme."

Fairytale Farm to illuminate Enchanted Walk
Fairytale Farm will be illuminating its Enchanted Walk until 9pm at weekends in September and October and daily through the October half term holidays.
The park will be open all day as normal, but at dusk hundreds of lights will twinkle as our Enchanted Walk will be transformed into a magical sensory experience for all the family, with the Mermaid Garden, Giant's Camera, The Extinct Band and Giant Party Poppers being highlights.
Park owner, Nick Laister, says: "During the day all the usual attractions will be open as normal, with the Enchanted Walk, Huff & Puff adventure playground and Alfie & Friends animal zone being the highlights. At dusk, we will close the playground and animal areas and illuminate the Enchanted Walk, which should be a magical experience for children of all abilities. We believe this is the first of its kind in the UK, and we are excited to see how children will respond to this unusual attraction."
Normal admission prices apply during the day, and visitors can stay on and watch the lights in the evening. For visitors arriving after 5pm, there will be a discounted entry price of £2 for adults and £1.75 for children and senior citizens, which will allow access to all the sections of the farm until dusk, and the illuminated areas after dusk. The Beanstalk Cafe will be open throughout with a choice of hot and cold snacks. Carers, annual pass holders and those under 3 can enter for free.
Fairytale Farm is open weekends only until 27 October, then daily again from 28 October to 3 November. There will also be a spectacular Halloween event (details to be announced soon) and join us for a Christmas Fairytale on Saturdays and Sundays from 30 November to 15 December and daily 21 to 24 December.
