Easter Weekend Event
We are holding a unique Easter event from 14th to 17th April. Our Giant Rabbit Burrow is open all through the Easter Weekend (until 4.30pm on Easter Monday), so come along and meet the Easter Bunny. Visitors can explore this indoor Burrow, meet the Easter Bunny, listen to the Bunny telling an Easter story and every child will receive a full size Easter egg. There is lots more to do at Fairytale Farm this Easter, including an Easter Egg Hunt and a chance for kids to colour our Easter pictures. There will be egg-shaped cookies to decorate and there is a giant golden egg to be found, which the Easter Bunny has hidden away somewhere on our Enchanted Walk trail.
And you can meet our latest arrival, a baby lamb. There will be opportunities to pet the lamb (and, on a first-come-first-served basis, to bottle feed her). We will also be launching a new attraction, our unique, interactive musical dancing fountains. Select a nursery rhyme and watch the water dance to the music. Also Walking with Alpacas on selected dates through the Easter holidays - see below on this page.
Walking with Alpacas 2017
Walking with Alpacas returns to Fairytale Farm in 2017 on selected dates in school holidays. For a small additional charge you can walk with these truly magical animals around a specially created trail.
Easter Holiday dates: 11th, 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st April 2017
Summer Holiday dates: To be announced soon.
The sessions are at 12 noon and 3pm, with access from the Huff and Puff adventure playground. Charge is £2 per person walking. Each walk will be escorted by an experienced animal handler and parents can accompany young children on the walk.
Sci-Fi Weekend - August 2017
Fairytale Farm is being invaded by TV's most frightening aliens on 12th and 13th August 2017 when the farm park holds its biggest and most spectacular Sci-Fi Weekend yet, and we will be raising money for Let's Play Banbury - a charity which supports local disabled children.
The Farm will have a sci-fi theme throughout the weekend, with costumed characters from film and TV roaming the different zones, and there will be an opportunity to be photographed with many sci-fi favourites.
The weekend proved very popular in 2014, 2015 and 2016 and many of our visitors decided to dress up as well. This year, anybody dressing up as a sci-fi character will get 20% off the admission price, so get creative!
Don't miss our Illuminated Evenings on Saturdays and Sundays from 14th October to 17th December, and every day from 20th December to 24th December.
The park will be open all day as normal, but when daylight fades the entire Enchanted Walk will become a magical wonderland of fairy lights, which will delight children and adults. The Mermaid Garden, Giant's Camera, The Extinct Band, Giant Party Poppers, and Light Fountains will be a blaze of colour and the Hex Water Fountain will be lit in ever changing colours. We also have new and updated features that were not part of last year's line-up, and our Fairytale Street will be illuminated.
The Beanstalk Cafe will be open throughout with a choice of hot and cold snacks.
The adventure playground and animal areas will close at dusk as the lights come on, so be sure to arrive in good time so you don't miss all that Fairytale Farm has to offer in the daylight. And, don't forget, our annual pass holders can visit for free, as many times as they like.
We will be opening the Farm until late on 14th, 15th, 21st, 22nd and 28th October to celebrate the switch-on of the Illuminations, when we will stay open until two hours after dusk. On these special event nights we will be offering an all-in farm admission and food package. Our 'Illuminations and Supper' package is available from 5pm for £6.00 per person. This price gives evening entry to the Farm (with a chance to see the animals if you arrive promptly at 5pm), a soup with crusty bread or hot dog plus a hot or cold drink, and finish the evening with a stroll through the illuminated gardens after the lights switch on. A truly magical evening for the whole family. You can buy these in advance here for only £5.49 (a saving of 51p per person from this already discounted price). Note that the animal area and playground closes at dusk so please arrive as soon after 5pm as you can if you want to see these parts of the park before the illuminations switch on.
See photographs of last year's display here.
Family-friendly Halloween Event 2017
We have a family friendly Halloween event this year, from Saturday 21st to Sunday 29th October, with free games and activities for younger children. We have free pumpkin carving, spooky biscuit decorating and get creative in our colouring corner and enter the on-site competition. If visitors come dressed up for the occasion they will receive a free treat. We also have face painting for a small extra charge.
And our late-night illuminations evening on Saturday 28th October will be a special Halloween-themed event. From 5pm visitors buying our special ‘Illuminations and Supper’ all-in farm admission and food package will be able to join in with extra Halloween activities, as well seeing the farm and having a stroll through the illuminated Enchanted Walk.
Christmas Fairytale 2017
Join us for a Christmas Fairytale - Saturdays and Sundays from 2 December to 17 December and daily 20 to 24 December.
